E-Bikes

If you have booked an e-bike for your last day you will be given a briefing on how to use it, safety and directions either the night before or the morning of your ride. You may be requested to depart Port Jackson by a certain hour to try to avoid traffic. We use Hike and Bike Coromandel for our E-Bike hire. They also provide the return shuttle service between Colville and Port Jackson so you will be able to talk to them about the bikes. The shuttle will leave Port Jackson after you depart on the bikes so any problems on the way can be sorted out when the shuttle comes or if it turns out not to be your gig you can jump in the shuttle. The majority of the 30km ride is on a gravel road next to the beach. This road can get corrugated at times and is narrow in places.

There is a chance that you will return to Colville earlier than the shuttle which will have your bags on it. The shuttle will be in Colville by 12.30pm. You can opt to do some more riding around Colville, relax at the Hereford and Pickle Cafe, or Colville Foreshore. The 30km ride with no stops would take approximately 2 hours from Port Jackson to Colville. It would be a lot more enjoyable if you took your time, stopped for a swim, picnic etc.

Cancellation by Pahi Coastal Walk – in the rare event that we need to cancel your e-bike due to safety reasons (e.g weather or road conditions) we will refund you the full amount that you were charged for the e-bike. We reserve the right to make this decision right up to the point of departure.

Bring your own bike – we will transport your bike to Port Jackson on the shuttle with you and store it in a safe place until you need it on Day 3 of your experience. Please make sure that your bike is well maintained and charged prior to coming. We also ask that you bring a HI-VIS vest and helmet to wear on the ride.

Liability: Pahi Coastal Walk ltd (PCW) takes bookings for the e-bikes on behalf of Hike and Bike. PCW takes no responsibility for the bikes or your experience of the bikes. This all remains with Hike and Bike.
